The deal with Clear Channel to take down over 800 billboards has been delayed for a week by City Council.
The council is expected to take up the agreement at next week's meeting. It calls for the company to dismantle smaller billboards throughout the city. Many are in residential neighborhoods and advertise liquor and lottery games. Mayor Bill White has called the signs offensive.Council members said they wanted another week to read over the legal agreement with the company before voting.
