Still sick

The good news is, I don’t have strep throat. The bad news is, I feel like a rottweiler’s chew toy. If I sounded like I was drowning in helium on the radio today, that’s why. I’ve got stuff planned for posting, but I don’t have the energy. See you tomorrow.

    Hope you’re feeling better by today.

    In the meantime, don’t bother taking antibiotics. Since you don’t have strep, they’re useless – worse than useless, actually, since using them when you don’t need to helps breed resistant strains of bacteria.

    I just got over a toothache. The dentist prescribed Amoxicillin, which is usually effective, but I had a resistant bug. Had to switch to Cipro or I might have ended up in the hospital instead of just getting a root canal.
