   There are a number of articles on this around the web. In short, they’re revving up to make a new Muppet Movie and these are both promotional shorts as well as character studies to help the puppeteers build up their chops before diving into the full-blown movies.

   (Wallace and Gromit animators did the same thing with their Cracking Contraptions shorts.)
