Where are the 30 day reports?

On October 11, the vast majority of 30 Day campaign finance reports were posted on the city’s website. Since then, only two new reports (not counting corrected reports) have been posted, with quite a few candidates not filing them at all. These are the candidates that do not have a 30 Day report posted on the city’s website:

  • Scott Boates, At Large #1
  • James Partsch-Galvan, At Large #1
  • Bob Schoellkopf, District A
  • Phillip Bryant, District B
  • Kenneth Perkins, District B
  • Bryan Smart, District B
  • James Joseph, District B
  • Larry McKinzie, District D
  • Nguyen Thai Hoc, District F
  • Alexander Gonik, District K

This represents a change of five names from my original list of non-filers. Randy Locke and Bob Ryan filed reports electronically. Amanda Ullman and Gordon Goss filed non-electronic reports. Ronald Green is unopposed and is therefore not required to file a 30 Day report.

As for the others, I have no idea why they have not filed their report. If you see one of them or otherwise have contact with their campaign, I suggest you ask them that question. If you get an answer, by all means please share it with us. The 8 Day reports are due in less than a week. I hope they do a better job with those.

Well, it is extremely doubtful that anybody on that list will be relevant from a political standpoint in a little less than two weeks from now, so I guess very soon it won’t matter.

Wait, correction, for the most part they aren’t politically relevant now, no need to wait two weeks for that development.

    Boates is going to win.

  3. trowaman says:

Paul, after taking a glance at Scott’s website and Facebook page, seeing he has not filed his financial paperwork: I’ll take that bet. Costello, no runoff.

  4. Noel Freeman says:

Boates refuses to answer even the most basic of public policy questions or defend his policy positions for voters.

  5. JJ says:

I don’t see how anyone can vote for someone to make and supervise enforcement of our laws when that candidate doesn’t follow them himself.

How does any supporter of Boates justify his not filing his forms? Dozens and dozens of people have managed to do it.

  6. Hobby says:

Boates is just one more of the island of misfit toy candidates. It is a fairly well populated isle with the nuttiest on the island being of course that James Parsch-Galvan, (his website is entertaining if nothing else), followed closely by loony Leticia Ablaza. It goes on with other people, but, unsurprisingly I can’t remember their names…. This may be one occassion when nobody is going to get voted off that island.
