I just want it to be known that I solved the puzzle in today’s Foxtrot in about five minutes. I had to dust off some pretty long-dormant brain cells to do the integral, but I got it. The first comment at the link above has the answer, if you’re still scratching your head.

    Ha! I solved it pretty quickly, too – but avoided the trig and the integration. (Trig was too rusty to bother with, never learned to integrate.)

    Got about the same time – also avoiding a few. Leaving four unsolved, I had to solve it Wheel of Fortune style with one blank (23).

    I solved for the vowels, ‘s’, and ‘t’, substituted, guessed the answer, then confirmed by solving for the letters I needed to complete.
