I presume that each team was told they had up to two minutes to film themselves talking about the economy in whatever fashion suited them. Locke’s struck me as more ad-like in its presentation, with his cuts to different backdrops, while Brown’s was more documentary-like, as Houston Politics noted. Parker’s is the shortest and doesn’t have any fancy editing. As for Roy, there’s a reason beyond his non-existent fundraising why I don’t take him seriously.
I like this idea a lot. I wouldn’t spend so much time interviewing candidates if I didn’t think it was a good thing to give people as many chances as possible to hear what their potential leaders have to say. I like that it’s basically freestyle, and I wonder how each will change their own approach in response to the others’. Kudos to KTRK for doing this.
