Hey, remember when I was doing Friday Random Tens based on ten songs that started with the same word, one for each letter of the alphabet? Good times. Let’s pretend I’ve been doing that all along and keep it going with the letter K.
1. Keep Her On The Line – The Moondoggies
2. Keep It Comin’ Love – KC and the Sunshine Band
3. Keep It Simple – Keb’ Mo’
4. Keep Me In Your Heart – Warren Zevon
5. Keep On The Sunny Side – The Whites
6. Keep On Truckin’ – Eddie Kendricks
7. Keep Playin’ That Rock ‘n’ Roll – Edgar Winter
8. Keep Young and Beautiful – Annie Lennox
9. Keeping the Faith – Billy Joel
10. Keeping Up With the Joneses – Austin Lounge Lizards
What’s keeping you going this week?
On a side note, I’ve decided to listen to every song in my collection – about 6100 in all – by clicking on the first one listed and letting it play from there. I began with “A.B.C. Boogie” by Bill Haley and The Comets, and am currently on “Angel From Montgomery” by John Prine, 134 songs in total. If I listen to that many songs a week, I figure I’ll be done some time in October. I’ll report my progress each week as we go and we’ll see when I get there.
Your number 2 selection has now planted an earworm. An evil, evil earworm.
Which I shall banish with Sharon Jones’ Keep On Looking
Keep Me From Blowing Away, Linda Ronstadt
Keep The Customer Satisfied, Simon & Garfunkel
Keep Your Distance, Richard Thompson
Keep Your Hands Off My Baby, The Beatles
A Keeper For Every Flame, Mary Chapin Carpenter
Keeping The Faith, Mary Chapin Carpenter
Hmm. I suspect you’ll continue to add songs as the year goes along, so you’ll have to adjust your target date. And what happens if some of those new songs fit into a range you’ve already passed? You’re gonna have to hire a bookkeeper.
Yeah, I’ll have to figure something out for the songs that get added after they would have been played. Nobody ever said this would be easy. 🙂
For your sake, I just hope your iPod doesn’t pull the same trick mine does of occasionally resetting to the very top for no discernable reason.
