Runoff EV report, Day 4

Consistency, thy name is early voting runoff turnout. Here are the in-person totals for each of the days so far:

Monday = 5,834
Tuesday = 5,726
Wednesday = 5,787
Thursday = 5,772

Flat as Houston itself. It’ll be interesting to see how things are tomorrow given the weather forecast. I’m glad I voted today, that’s for sure. How many of you have voted yet?

    Its a small sample, but it seems to violate Benford’s Law

    A lot of people it seems don’t vote because they want to send a message. They send none by not voting. I have heard quite a few “two peas in the same pod” with regard to Gene Locke and Annise Parker. Some truth to that. They will both serve the same masters including Greater Houston Partnership. But why not vote and just skip the mayor’s race and hope enough people do so and Richard Murray points out how many voted but didn’t vote in the mayor’s race?

    Might send a message to whoever does win that the majority of people don’t like them, don’t trust them and that if that want their trust to be mayor a second time, this time around they are going to have to earn the trust. Because next time they may vote for their opponent.

    They’re all pretty much the same. Serving the same masters. Except for Jolanda Jones. Shame she may lose. The one voice of the people. The one voice of integrity in a sea of sham and scam.
