I have six versions of “Take Me I’m Yours” thanks in part to the Take Them They’re Yours: Coverville Tribute to Squeeze. I’m pretty sure that’s the most versions of any one song that I have in my collection. What’s good for the taking with you this week?
Entire song report: Started with “Even the Sunbeams” by From Bubblegum To Sky, song #1339. (Yes, I know I ended with 1337 last week. I added a few songs this past week, one of which comes before that in the alphabet. After I reach the end of the song list, I’ll go back through the ones I missed the first time. Which ought to be easy to do since I made the otherwise-OCD-like decision to add star ratings to every song as I went along. See, just like the creators of “Lost”, I knew what I was doing from the beginning!) Finished with “Fever”, by Julie Murphy, song #1441, for a total of 103 this week. The last E song was “Eyesight To The Blind”, by Pete Townshend. The first F song, thanks to iTunes’ weird alphabetizing, was “F.M.”, by Steely Dan. If you can’t stand that way of organizing the list, the “true” first F song was “Face It” by The Reputation.
