    Actually, no, I don’t remember when being a maverick meant something… it was 10+ years ago when I lived in Arlington, Virginia and the topic was changes to the flight plans at National Airport (right over our neighborhood) pushed through by Sen. McCain over local opposition (including the airport authority) which, through what I’m sure is just coincidence, allowed major McCain donor AmericaWest to start profitable new service out of the airport.

    The idea that McCain has ever had beliefs that weren’t purchased by donors is a joke.
