We’ve not had a lot of rain around here lately, though we did get a decent soaking on Wednesday (at least at my house) and there are some chances for thunderstorms over the next few days. We’ll need a lot more where that came from to make a dent in the drought, but it’s a start. In the meantime, here are ten songs about being dry:
1. Cool Dry Place – Traveling Wilburys
2. Dry Bed – Billy Bragg
3. Dry County – The B-52’s
4. Dry Grass & Shadows – Alela Diane
5. Dry Lightning – Bruce Springsteen
6. A Hundred Miles Of Dry – Austin Lounge Lizards
7. It’s Dry Down Here – Asylum Street Spankers
8. Tears Dry On Their Own – Amy Winehouse
9. Have You Ever Seen The Rain? – Creedence Clearwater Revival
10. I Wish It Would Rain Down – Phil Collins
The post title is taken from this:
I learned the song with slightly different lyrics, which is the way it is with these old-timey tunes sometimes. Unlike the song, we would like it to rain again, and again and again and again.
The Round 2 report will be back next week. Hope everyone had a good Fourth of July week.
