School starts on Monday, which will be the start of third grade for Olivia. As I did in each of the last two years, I’ve got a Friday random ten in celebration of the number 3.
1. Three More Days – Ray LaMontagne
2. The Three Sunrises – U2
3. Three Drunken Maidens – The Mollys
4. Three Cool Cats – The Beatles
5. Three Babies – Sinead O’Connor
6. Two Out Of Three Ain’t Bad – Meatloaf
7. Three Jolly Coachmen – Flying Fish Sailors
8. The Three Fine Daughters Of Farmer Brown – Eddie From Ohio
9. Three To Get Ready – Dave Brubeck Quartet
10. Three Sinners – Austin Lounge Lizards
I’ll have to check again for the number four, but my recollection is that there were not nearly enough songs to do another list. But then, it’ll be first grade for Audrey and I can revisit the number one. Good luck in school this year, kids.
Dude, you forgot the best “number three” song of all time, School House Rock’s “Three is the Magic Number” which was later covered/sampled by by De La Soul in the 1989.
There’s also the Johnny Cash Classic “Three Feet High and Risin'” but hey, this is your list, not mine.
Maybe those can be on Audrey’s “number three” list a few years.
