Song #28 on the Popdose Top 100 Covers list is “Wild Horses”, originally by the Rolling Stones and covered by The Sundays. Here’s the original:

This is a rare example of the original artist being much better known than the covering artist; it’s almost always been the other way around in this series when there’s been a disparity in fame. I’d never heard of The Sundays, but having listened to their version, I have heard it before. I just never knew who did it – I guess I’d never heard it on the radio, so I never heard a back-announcement of who did it. Anyway, very similar in style, especially to the acoustic version above, with the main difference being the female voice in the cover. I like it. What do you think?
