We continue with Mayoral candidate interviews. Marty McVey is making his first run for elective office, in Houston or anywhere else. A businessman, McVey is the founder and shareholder of private equity businesses in the Real Estate, Energy Services and Healthcare sectors, as well as being a licensed real estate broker. In 2011, McVey was appointed by President Barack Obama to be one of seven chairmen for the United States Agency for International Development. He was a fundraiser for Hillary Clinton in 2008, but beyond that has largely been an outsider to politics. Here’s the interview:
