We come to the end of my Mayoral interviews, and almost the end of all my interviews for this cycle. Adrian Garcia was the last major candidate to officially join the race, though he was unofficially in it for months beforehand. A former HPD cop and the head of the mayor’s Anti-Gang Office, Garcia was elected to represent District H in 2003 and after serving two and a half terms he was elected Harris County Sheriff in 2008, racking up the highest vote total by any Democrat ever in the county. He was re-elected in 2012 and served until he had to resign to mount his Mayoral campaign. Here’s the interview:
