One Response to Texas blog roundup for the week of August 5

  1. Bill Daniels says:

I am supremely disappointed that Ratcliffe is being withdrawn for DNI. The issue is, and should be for all of us, liberal or conservative, that a political campaign and a president were spied on by our own government. We need to find out who did what, why, and who initially ordered it.

Coats and Wray are stonewalling and obfuscating. They have to go.

Imagine if Trump had oppo research on Julian Castro and back channeled it to Trump loyalists in the FBI and CIA and they began spying on Julian. Imagine they set honeypot traps for Julian’s people. Would we be outraged? I would, and I would want Trump and everyone else who participate brought to justice.

Now imagine the FBI leadership, embarrassed by what took place, tried to sweep it all under the rug. Would we be calling for the heads of those responsible for spying on President Castro? I would be.

Remember when Trump said his ‘wires were tapped’ and everyone said he was crazy? Now we know his wires WERE tapped, and no one seems interested in how that happened. No apologies for being wrong, we just pretend it did not happen.

Remember when everybody just KNEW that Trump was a Russian agent? Now we know THAT was a lie. No apologies for being wrong, we just pretend that didn’t happen either.

Yet no interest in how all of that went down. We need to find out, and Coats and Wray need to go so we CAN find out.
